So I had a very interesting unexplainable thing happen to me. It was one of those things that is so unlikely, totally a wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing. Crazy. Anyway, Mac started begging me on Saturday to go to an Orem Owlz game, not that I'm blaming any of this on him, I'm just saying for the record I didn't want to go. So we have these free passes for the games so we end up going. When we get there we start walking over to some empty seats and the guy there said we couldn't sit in the seats, we had to sit in the grass.
Since it was the 24th there was a full stadium because of the fireworks after, apparently its like a big deal, so we end up sitting in between 3 base and home. Mac was sitting in front of me and I was just sitting right behind him resting on his back, when all of a sudden I hear the crowd of 3,000 people start screaming and saying HEADS UP!! I look over to my right and see this ball coming at me at 130mph and there is literally nothing I could do. It was the most impossible foul ball, that didn't touch anything between the bat and me and It smashed my leg. It hit me like I seriously was hit my a semi the power of that ball was crazy. I immediately grabbed onto my leg and started balling. It hurt so bad! I think Mac felt the worst, he felt like he should have stopped it, but the only thing he could have done was reach out his bare hand which the ball would have destroyed. Anyway the EMTs came over and everyone was staring it was quite an awkward moment, even the mascot came over. So weird. They asked if they should get an ambulance to get me to a hospital but I didn't hear my femar snap which I figured was a good sign and it didn't hit me in the stomach which probably would have been the absolute worst thing, because we wouldn't be having a baby anymore. Literally .2 seconds before that ball came at me I shifted my leg in front of my stomach which was a miracle. And It didn't hit me in the head and brake my face, so to me I was fine, they just brought me an ice pack and I was alright. This is something that will never happen again because of how impossible that hit was. While I was in the depths of dispare crying in shock, this little girl came over to me and handed me the ball. I told her she could have it because I was in the middle of thinking I was dead, however, her dad stood behind us and held on to the ball because he figured when I really realized what happened I was gonna want it. I just needed some time to calm down.
So yes I kept the ball. Later, McKay and I were looking at it. We saw that the brand was a Rawlings baseball. McKay about had a heart attack he was so excited! Lately he's really liked the name Rawlins and when he saw that, he was convinced it was a sign from God that were supposed to name our child Rawlins if its a boy. So If were having a boy that's what were going to name him. I had a different name I really liked but I'll save it.
So..... here is what my leg lookes like right now....its just so beautiful.
