It was really awesome, because Mac has been there a bunch and I've been too, so we got to show each other some of our favorate beaches and restaurants and stuff. We have a good family friend who is Hawaiian, who told us a bunch of places to go, and his daughter and husband live there, so they hooked us up big time.
I really tried to do my best with pictures. After lots of thought, I decided not to take my SLR. I was sad but I didn't want to be worried about it getting stolen or broken the whole time. As much as it killed me to not bring it I'm glad I didn't. We were always in the water. Guarding it would have been in possible. So I just took my point and shoot. And We both had our phones so we did the best we could.
Day One: Thurday hung out at Wiakiki and got some dinner and beached it up. We only spent one day there which was ok. Its fun because there is lots of night life, and I liked to mix it in a little bit with our trip.
Day Two: We went to my most favortist temple in the world. We went up to Laie and went to the BYU campus and the Temple. So Amazing! We did sealings and I was so excited! I'd been wanting to go into that temple for so long. Last time we were there it was closed, because they were re doing it, so I'm happy we were able to do it this time. We walked around for a bit soaking up its beauty, and went to the visitor center. Then of course we went to the beach. There's a beach there in Laie called Hukilau Beach. Then went to lunch at Teds. Up the road, and Back to the beach again it was.
Day Three: We woke up and went to Boots and Kimos for breakfast, and I finally got my sunday morning Banana Pancakes.....Oh my goodness they were amazing! We did some exploring, then It was off to one of my favorite beaches. Makapuu Beach. The waves were amazing and the water was so blue. We watched a lot of locals boogie board. It was crazy to see all the little kids doing it like pros. Then we had lunch and Teds again, because its amazing.
Day Four: Of course we went to the beach. Everyday we tried to go to a new beach, to today we went to Wiamea Bay. Don't worry, It was amazing. Like always. Its famous for its rock where people cliff jump. Then we got hook ups at the PCC later that day. I hadn't been able to go last time I was there and So I really wanted to go at least once. It was really really awesome. Our family friends got us tickets because he is one of the guys that works there and does the dances and stuff.
Day five: Tuesday morning we got up early to go to pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor has been on my bucket list for a long long time and mac and I love history. So It was right up our alley. We just did the free one that they have during the day thats about an hour long, but the museums were free and we were able to walk around and look at all the cool memorials they had. So we watched a movie that they show about December 7th and then we got to take a boat out to the Arizona Memorial. It was so neat. I'm soooooo glad we got to do it. Then the rest of the day was beaches, and exploring.
Day 6,7&8 Were full of beaches and relaxing. Mac got a couple Pina coladas, I got a few north shore fresh pineapples, and we couldn't have been happier. We loved watching the sunsets every night. There is NOTHING like a Hawaiian sunset.
You two are so adorable!!! So glad you got to have a wonderful get away and relaxing vaca!!!! I hope me and kb will go there someday. It's is seriously so beautiful!!! Love your face girl!
