Tis The Season!

My goodness its been a crazy month!! I just cant seem to get a grip on anything! I feel like Its all happening so fast! I go work out at 4:45 in the morning, so I'm absolutely worthless the rest of the day, and can't get anything done! Luckily I started a lot of my Christmas shopping early so I'm really close to being done. I think I did pretty good this year. I think I'm a little bit more excited about it, because Bostyn is a bit older. She understands at least a little more and Its been so much fun picking out presents for her.  I love the way she looks at the the tree, and the snow, and the lights when were driving around in the car.  Love these pictures of her. I caught her sitting by the tree and she just looked so beautiful. Of course I had to pull my camera out. :)

I've been wanting to start some new traditions, as our family starts to grow. Of course most of my ideas come from pinterest. I saw a lot of different ideas of 12 Days Of Christmas, and a lot of variations of it. 

So I kind of started a tradition that we do the 12 Dates of Christmas.  A 12 day count down to Christmas Day where Mac and I will go on a date involving something "Christmasy." So one night It was going to see the lights in river woods, and dinner. Another night was, curling up on the couch watching   a favorite Christmas movie. Another one was going Christmas shopping. Depending on what the date is Bostyn will come with us. When we went to the river woods, she came with, and we tried sitting on Santas Lap. Didn't go well, but we tried.  Its been a really fun tradition to do every year, to keep the spirit going, and to be able to spend time together, even when everything gets so busy.

I think I did pretty good with Mckay this year. It was a little different shopping for him this time, because I seriously couldn't stop buying stuff for him. Typically It comes down to christmas Eve and I'm stressing, because I don't ever know what to get him. Not the way it is this year!! I think thats a lot of the reason I'm anticipating so much.

Another fun tradition we started was doing a "Christmas Eve Box" The Christmas eve box has something to wear for Christmas eve or Christmas morning for each of us. There's also popcorn, a movie, Hot Cocoa kits, and a game to play. I'm sure its a pretty common tradition, but its a good one. 

This year were spending Christmas with my family, and Christmas Eve we do a Tri Tip dinner with our good friends and Its a total party!
